Use Blender 2.52 alpha to build a round brick wall

My first video tutorial in AGES (and only my second one ever from what I can recall). In this tutorial, I show how to build a circular brick wall using only one brick and three array modifiers. All done with an alpha version of Blender 2.52. You can download the latest build of Blender from [...]

The Worm That Turned (Out Quite Well)

More fun with Blender! I’ve made a worm. It was in response (as so many of my little projects are) to a question over on the Blender Underground Forums.
It took me about an hour to model this little chap and a couple of hours to sort out the funky little animation. Hope you all like [...]

Danté the Ant progress report

Things are going great with Danté. I’ve still got to rig his arms/hands and do a decent face rig. And some small repairs. But he’s looking good:

Bobbing, Spinning Box

Having not done much with the Blender fluid simulator in an awful long time, and out of curiosity which had been raised by a question, I’ve done this little animation.

Step One

In Step One, I’ve modelled the whole face but still need [...]

A face, textured, animated, hairy.

Made entirely with Blender. The skin has SSS. The hair is partical hair. The eyes have refraction through the cornea. Everything could be better but I like it.

A face, textured

And it looks REALLY weird animated:

My 3D Self-Portrait Trophy

Now that I’ve got to grips with face modeling in Blender, I thought I deserved a trophy. So, I took a couple of pictures of me, modeled my face and created this trophy. Yay, me!

Changing faces

Over the years I have tried, on occasion, to model a realistic face. I’ve had varying degrees of success leading up to this, my first decent face model. All the loops are right. All the proportions are right. Well, as far as I can tell, they’re right.
This is what it looks like:

A face
