Yes, that’s right. Cloth. Not softbody, physics or fluid. Cloth. The rate at which features are being integrated into the main trunk of Blender development is amazing. When this new version is finally released, Blender users will be like kids in candy shops.
The latest addition to the trunk (well, the latest huge new feature, anyway) is the cloth simulator. The developer of this simulator has gone through a lot of pain, literally, over the past three years putting this together. You can read about it on his website at http://www.wxtools.com.
Here’s a very quick test I put together to try it out. It was really easy even if it did need a few tweaks. But, hey, it is brand new. It’s gonna get even better.
Tell me I’m not dreaming. After dinner, I’m having the cloth sim for dessert. š
